HomeMy WebLinkAbout890BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LYING SOUTH- WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF HARRISON STREET AND 24th STREET IN THE CITY OF BATESVILLE. ARKANSAS WHEREAS, the Planning Commission for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, has held public hearings relative to the rezoning of certain properties situated in the City of Batesville Arkansas; and WHEREAS, the following said hearings and study by the Planning Commission, the said Planning Commission has recommended the rezoning of certain properties in the City of atesville, Arkansas, to Commercial C-2 zoning, among which is the property located Southwest of the intersection of Harrison Street and 24th Street in the City of Batesville, Arkansas, more particularl described as follows: A tract of land being a part of the North Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section Fifteen in Township Thirteen North and Range Six West of the Fifth Principal Meridian (Nz SWI-,, Sec. 15, T13N, R6W, 5th P.M.) in the City of Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the West Quarter Section Corner of said Sec. 15; thence South, a distance of 35.00 feet; thence East, a distance of 920.00 feet to the Point of Beginning on the South Right -of -Way Line of Harrison Street; thence South 88 degrees 46 minutes 03 seconds East along said South Right -of -Way Line, a distance of 672.70 feet to a point on the West Right -of -Way Line of Twenty -Fourth Street; thence South 00 degrees 53 minutes 00 seconds West along said West Right -of -Way Line a distance of 575.23 feet; thence North 88 degrees 17 minutes 00 seconds West, a distance of 494.80 feet; thence North 00 degrees 53 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 218.30 feet; thence North 89 degrees O1 minutes 00 seconds West, a distance of 177.93 feet; thence North 00 degrees 53 minutes 00 seconds East, a distance of 353.52 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 7.95 Acres, more or less; and WHEREAS, the owners of said property now seek the rezoning of said property as recommended by the Planning Commission for the City of Batesville, Arkansas; THEREFORE, be it ordained that the real property described herein be rezoned to the Commercial use classification C-2 and that the zoning map for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, be amended to reflect such rezoning. PASSED and APPROVED on this 25th day of April, 1978.
