AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN AUXILIARY POLICE PROGRAM IN
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS AND OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
AS FOLLOWS:
1. AUXILIARY POLICE PROGRAM ADOPTED. There is hereby adopted
and authorized an auxiliary police program for the city of
Batesville, Arkansas
Z. CONDITIONS, LIMITATIONS AND OTHER MATTERS .
A) The auxiliary police program and all personnel shall
be under the direct control of the city council of Batesville
Arkansas and may be altered, amended or abolished at
anytime.
B) The chief of police will administer the auxiliary
police program within any guidelines setout by the city
council.
C) No auxiliary policeman shall be subject to civil service and
may be dismissed at anytime, with or without cause by
the city council or chief of police.
D) No auxiliary policeman shall be considered an employee of the
city of Batesville.

E) The mayor and city clerk are authorized to sign any
necessary documents to receive federal aid, grants
or cooperative agreements.
