HomeMy WebLinkAbout863r,r ORDINANCE # AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAPES OF CERTAIN STREETS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS that: 1. That it is in the best interest of the City of Batesville, Arkansas that following streets acquire new names to avoid confusion with police and fire departments and other reasons in the City. 2. That the street previously known as Bluff Drive is hereby changed to Red Oak Drive. 3. That the street previously known as Cedar Lane ishereby changed to Lane. 4. That the street previously known as Highland Drive is hereby changed to Crestview Drive. 5. That the street previously known as Red Cedar is hereby changed to Drive. 6. That the street previously known as Glynn is hereby changed to Cardinal. 7. That the street previously known as Lynn is hereby changed to Meadow Lark. 8. That the street previously known as Alice Drive is hereby changed to Amy Street on the East side and to Peggy Street on the South side of the Wolford's First Addition to the City of Batesville. 9. That the street previously known as College Drive is hereby changed to College Heights Drive. 10. That the street previously known as Dogwood is hereby changed to 28th Str That this ordinance being necessary to avoid any present confusion, an emerge is therefore declared and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. Presently zoned C-2. Page will fill out forms, get letters from property owners on North and East. Deferred until next meeting. (2) Bill Brooks of 800 22nd Street (a corner request a variance, for a carport beside hios houset at ,ldtonwdithinNeele2) feet of his property line. The carport will "nose" into the house on the 22nd Street side. Deferred until next meeting. (3) Wilby Coleman at 1450 Lawrence St. request a variance to 1 foot Of side lot line for a carport. Deferred until next meeting. (4) Set Zoning Study Group presentation for next meeting with public hearing on PC recommendations at a mid-December meeting. Methods of presentation and recommendations discussed. (5) Next meeting set for November 15th.
