ORDINANCE NO. 3
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING ANNEXATION AND ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS
OF CHARLES AND BETTY GOFF TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ZONING
SAME LANDS AS R 1 RESIDENTIAL AND OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Council finds that the lands of Charles and
Betty Goff herein described are suitable and desirable to be
annexed to the City of Batesville.
2. The City Council finds that the Independence
County Court has authorized said annexation.
3. The City Council hereby accepts annexation and
annexes the following described lands of Charles Goff and
Betty Goff, his wife. Said lands are more particularly
described as follows:
TRACT #1: A part of the Northwest Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section Twenty-two (22), Town-
ship Thirteen (13) North, Range Six (6) West,
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said NWh of
NWh of said Section, Township and Range;
thence North along West line of said NWk NW4 for
1540 links to a point; thence East a distance of
660 feet to the Point of Beginning of this Conveyance
Tract; thence South a distance of 851.4 feet to a
point on the North line of a tract presently owned
by Grantees herein; thence East and with North line
of said tract a distance of 660 feet to a point on
the East line of said NWh NA; thence North a
distance of 851.4 feet to a point; thence West a
distance of 660 feet to the Point of Beginning.

TRACT #2: Beginning at a point 300 feet North of the
Southwest Corner of the Northeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North,
Range 6 West, said point being on the North Bank of a
small branch, thence Northeasterly along the North
side of the branch to a point 500 feet South of the
Northeast Corner of the Northeast Quarter of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 22 aforesaid.
TRACT #3: The East Half of the following parcel:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section Twenty-two (22), Township Thirteen
(13) North, Range Six (6) West, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said NW4 NW4, said
section, township and range; thence East along the South
line of said NW4 NW4 to the Southeast corner thereof;
thence North along the East line of said NW4 NW4 a
distance of 165 feet to a point; thence West, parallel
with the South line of said NW4 NW4 to a point on the
West line of said NW4 NW4 a distance of 165 feet North
of the Beginning Point; thence South a distance of 165
feet to the Point of Beginning, containing five (5)
acres, more or less.
4. The City Council zones said property being annexed
as R 1 Residential property. The Council finds that said
property is contiguous to the present City limits and directs
the City Clerk to preserve one copy of this ordinance and
forward one copy of the ordinance to the Secretary of State
together with plat of the annexed territory, as by 4w required.
