ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANYONE 17YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER FROM
FISHING IN ROWS LAKE, BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS.
1. From and after the passage of this ordinance
it shall be unlawful for any person to fish in and or about
Rowe Lake if the person is 17 years of age or older.
2. It is the sense of the city council that
fishing in Rowe Lake shall be limited to persons under
17 years of age.
3. Fishing shall be construed to mean the at-
tempt to take or the taking of fish from Rowe Lake by
any means whatsoever. It shall be a prima facia case
that a person is fishing if fishing apparatus is displayed
and a person is in control of the apparatus.
4. Persons 17 years of age or older may assist
persons under 17 years of age but at no time will a person
17 years of age or older be allowed to be in control of
the fishing apparatus. If such person is in control then
such persons shall be considered fishing within the
meaning of this ordinance and punished accordingly.
5. A violation of this ordinance shall be a
misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of not less than $5.00
nor more than $100.00.
