AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ANNEXATION OF
WOLFORD'S FIRST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND
FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS
AND ALLEYS
WHEREAS`, Certain landowners have petitioned the Indepen
dence County Court for the annexation of certain lands to the
City of Batesville, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, After lawful notice given, the Independence
County Court has entered an order annexing such lands as Wolford':
First Addition to the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and such
order has been entered of record for more than thirty (30) days
without objection to such annexation having been filed, and
WHEREAS, This area has been platted by plats filed in
Independence County Deed Record Book 0-9, page 129, upon which
plat certain streets, alleys and other public ways are dedicated
to public use, a copy of which plat is appended hereto as Exhibit
A and incorporated herein by reference thereto; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED By the City of Batesville, Arkansas, by
its City Council in regular meeting assembled:
1. That the annexation of Wolford's First Addition to
theCity of Batesville, Arkansas, by order of the Independence
County Court entered on the 24th day of April, 1970, be hereby
accepted and in all things approved;
2. That the dedication of the public streets, alleys
and other public ways as shown on plat exhibited herewith be
hereby accepted;
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to certify
and forward to the Secretary of State a copy of this ordinance
and to do all other acts as may be required by law to perfect thi
annexation.
Enacted and ordained by the City Council of the City of
Batesville, Arkansas, in regular meeting assembled at the City
Hall in said City on this 26th day of May, 1970.
