AN ORDINANCE REVISING AND INCREASING BONDS REgUIRED OF
THE CITY CLERK & EX -OFFICIO MUNICIPAL COURT CLERK, THE
CITY TREASURER AND THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE; REVEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVIL•LE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Clerk and Ex -Officio Municipal Court Clerk of the Municipal
our ,o a tesville, Arkansas, shall now for the remainder of current term of
office, and hereafter upon entering each official term of office, provide a
bond in the sum of Five Thousand Dollars (45000.00) conditioned on due and
faithful performance of all duties of said office and the proper accounting
for all funds which may come into his hands. Such bond shall likewise cover
such other duties and responsibilities of said official as a collection officer
of said City to which he may be appointed or designated by the City Council
from time to time# or pursuant to the ordinances of said City.
Section 2. The City Treasurer of Batesville, Arkansas, shall now for the remainder
of current term of office, and hereafter upon entering each official term of office,
provide a bond in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10000,00) conditioned on due
and faithful performance of all duties of said office and the proper accounting
for all funds which may come into his bends.
Section 3, The Chief of Police of Batesville, Arkansas, shall now and at all
times — and periods hereafter provide, and keep currently in force, a bond in the:.
sum of Three Thousand Dollars (;3000.00) conditioned on due and faithful perform-
ance on all duties of said office and the proper accounting.,for all funds which
may come into his hands.
Section 4. The surety on all such bonds shall be a corporate bonding company duly
qua ie and authorized to do business in the state of Arkansas, and the City
shall pay and discharge the premiJu s on such bonds.
section 5. All ordinances or parts of &rdinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
Section. 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage and
puff Caton.
