AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TEM PRACTICE OF FORTUNE
TELLING IN THE CITY OF BA TES v ILLE , ARKANSAS; PRO-
VIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TETE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BA` IESVILLE, ARK _� SAS :
Section 1. The practice of any form of fortune telling in the City
of Batesville, Arkansas, is hereby prohibited; and it shall be unlawf;�l
to engage in and practice fortune telling regardless of whatever name
it may be designated, be it clairvoyants, practitioners of palmistry,
horoscope readers or by any other name or designation whatsoever*
Section 2. Any person found guilty of violating this ordinance, or any
provision thereof, shall be fined in any sum not less than G
Dollars nor more Wlez"dn, Dollars, and each day's violation
shall be and constitute a separate offense.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from abd
after its passage and publication.
