WHA',3?AS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Batesville
Arkansas, on the 9th day of April, 1963, pursuant to notice given as
required by law, held a public hearing at the City Ball of the City
of Batesville, Ark.,,nsas, for the purposes of considering; the pro-
posed reclassification. of a certain tract of land from Residential

scribed as follows: C ul \\ \ * , -.
"A part of Bates Addition to the City of Bates-
ville, Arkansas, described as fellows:
Commencing at the intersection of the East line
of Third Street with the South line of Boswell
Street; thence South along; the Hast line of
Third Street 84 feet to the point of beginning
of the lands her -in recommended for reclassi-
fication;
Thence Northeasterly parallel with Boswell St.
57 feet; thence Easterly and parallel with riarri-
son Street 892 feet to the West line of the
Sturch property; thence South along the West line
of said Sturch property 216 feet to the North
line of Bates Street; thence :Jest along the
North line of Batess Street a distance of 10
feet to its intersection with the :East line of
Third Street; thence Forthwesterly along the
East line of Third Street 2072 feet to the point
of beginning, subject to all rights of strays and
esements across said property".
AND WH"HHEAS, the City Planning Commission, prusuant to law, has
filed_ its recommendation with the City Council, recommending that
the propoasd reclassif3.cation petitioned for, be adopted;

Section 1 --That the City Council adopts the report and recom-
mendations of the City Planning; Commission as above set forth, and
the Tract of land herein described, be and is hereby reclassified
under the applicable zoning law and reF.);ulations to the class of"C-=
ientr�a-1 BUSin°ess ethic t C u �, t
Section 2 --That the City Clerk shall cause tree official zoning
map of the City to note the changes above set forth.
Section 3 --That they°e is hereby found and declared to be an im-
mediate need for the reclassification above set forth for the benefit
of the public health., safety and welfare of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, and p=articularly the area affected hereby, TN a_� FORE,it is
declared that an emergency exists ani this ordi-nance being; necesaary
for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and wel-
fare shall be in force and take effect Immediately upon and Df ter its
passage.

District to CJ -1,, "Central Business District", sai,1 tract being de-
scribed as follows:
