WHICH MAY BE MADE TO RUSI'TESS ANDJOR
COMM1 RCIAL HOUSES IN THE (3ITY OF BATES-
VILLE FOR GARBAGE SERVICnS
WH7.REAS Ordinance No. 611 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Batesville provides, among other things, a minimum and maximum
monthly fee charge which may be made by the City of Fatesville to
Business and/or Commercial Houses for garbage services furnished by
the City of Batesville and;
WHFR7,AS, the costs to the City of Batesville for the maintenance
and operation of its garbage department have increased greatly since
the enactment of said Ordinance No. 61)+ and the City now finds itself
in need of setting a new maximum charge for some of its customers:
NOW THEREFORE BE I`I' ORDAII�,,D BY TH�� CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That Section 3, paragraph (e) of Ordinance 614 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Batesville, Arkansas is hereby ammended-
to read as follows:
"A fee of not less than $1.00 per month nor more than
$50.00 per month or fractional part thereof, payable
in advance, is hereby levied for each business house
and/or commercial house".
It being necessary for the proper regulation of the health,
safety, and welfare of the community, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon and
after its passage.
