RESOLUTION NUMBER - 7-0 7--t? <br /> Resolution to apply for the 2019 HOPE VI Main Street Grant <br /> A resolution authorizing the City of Batesville to apply for the 2019 HOPE VI Main <br /> Street Grant on behalf of the Adler Building. <br /> WHEREAS, annually HUD offers one special grant for the rehabilitation of a historic <br /> property located in a Main Street district already undergoing proven rejuvenation; and <br /> WHEREAS, both the Main Street Batesville district and the endangered Adler Building <br /> meet all qualifications and requirements for the grant; and <br /> WHEREAS, the property owner has prepared all necessary documentation and written <br /> agreement to execute the grant according to its stipulations should it be awarded; and <br /> WHEREAS, the preservation and restoration of culturally significant historical places is <br /> in the interest of the community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville that the city: <br /> Article 1. Will submit application to the HOPE VI Main Street Grant on behalf of the <br /> property at 151 W. Main Street Batesville, commonly known as The Adler Building. <br /> Article 2.
