RESOLUTION # 0?01 Q- /a -DI--K <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 19 ACRES LOCATED ON <br /> HIGHWAY 167 ASCENDING RAMSEY MOUNTAIN <br /> WHEREAS,Batesville, Independence County,and Southside recognize their respective <br /> obligation to provide green spaces for use by the general public for recreation,aesthetics,and other <br /> purposes; <br /> WHEREAS, Batesville, Independence County, and Southside have limited financial <br /> resources with which to provide for such greens spaces; <br /> WHEREAS,Batesville, Independence County,and Southside desire to maximize revenues <br /> and the benefits the citizens derive therefrom by dividing the financial obligations for a green space <br /> and/or park where all three parties have an interest;- <br /> WHEREAS,Batesville, Independence County,and Southside desire to enter into an <br /> Interlocal Agreement whereby all three parties would purchase the 19 acres ascending Ramsey <br /> Mountain on Highway 167 for the purchase price of approximately$137,830.81; and <br /> WHEREAS, Batesville, Independence County,and Southside agree to pay an equal share of <br /> the sale price of said lands,which is $45,943.60 and any associated closing costs and/or title <br /> insurance. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS <br /> SECTION 1: The City of Batesville hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into an Interlocal <br /> Agreement with the City of Southside,Arkansas and Independence County,Arkansas, for the <br /> purchase of approximately 19 acres ascending Ramsey Mountain on Highway 167, South of <br /> Batesville, for the purchase price of$45,943.60, more or less,with any closing costs to be divided <br /> equally by the parties. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this day of December,2019. <br /> Rick El r <br /> City of Batesville <br /> AT EST: <br /> Denise Johnston, CVy Clerk <br /> City of Batesville <br />
