AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE STORMWATER
MANAGEMENT AND DRAINAGE MANUAL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City has experienced considerable growth in recent years; and
WHEREAS, new construction often causes new issues with storm water
management and drainage; and
WHEREAS, the city needs standards for public safety and the protection of
property;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the adoption of the
manual is in the best interest of city of Batesville.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Batesville Stormwater Management and Drainage
Manual presented to the city council is hereby adopted.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE: That new construction is ongoing and the safety and
welfare of the residents of Batesville, Arkansas are immediately impacted when issues
of storm water management and drainage are not properly addressed; therefore an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of 2019.
