AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE STREETS AND
DRAINAGE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS AND DETAILS FOR THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City has experienced considerable growth in recent years; and
WHEREAS, construction often causes problems with streets and the drainage
thereof; and
WHEREAS, the city needs standards for public safety and the protection of
property;
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the adoption of new
specifications is in the best interest of city of Batesville
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Batesville Streets and Drainage Technical Specifications
and Details presented to the city council is hereby adopted.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE: That new construction is ongoing and the safety and
welfare of the residents of Batesville, Arkansas are immediately impacted when issues
of street construction and drainage thereof are not properly addressed; therefore an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
