CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONTRACT Ff R
CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTH SPORTS COMPLEX '.O THE
COMPANY SUBMITTING THE LOWEST BID
WHEREAS, there was submitted to the qualified electors of the City of
Batesville, Arkansas at a special election held March 13, 2012, the question of the
collection of a sales and use tax to pay and secure the repayment of bonds approved
by the voters and issued by the City from time to time to finance capital
improvements for park and recreational purposes, for public lafety purposes,
including particularly, without limitation, police and fire, and for street purposes;
WHEREAS, at the special election, a majority of the electors voting on the
question approved the issuance of the bonds and the levy of a new sales and use tax;
• WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has advertised for bids in accordance with
Arkansas state law for a part of the project to construct the NorthSports Complex
for park and recreational purposes; j
WHEREAS, the bids received by the City were examined beginning on
March 21, 2013; and
WHEREAS, StoneBridge Construction, LLC submitted the lowest bid,
$2,100,000.00, and that bid has been reviewed by the City, and its 1engineering firm,
ETC Engineers & Architects, Inc., and found to be in compliadce with the bid
specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
THAT, the bid received from StoneBridge Construction, I I C should be and
is hereby accepted.
ADOPTED THIS 26"' DAY OF MARCH, 2013.
