CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR T
APPLY FOR A GRANT ALLOWING VITAL LINK EMS.
TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS
Be it resolved by the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas, a res lution authorizing
the Mayor to apply for a grant allowing Vital Link EMS to see grant funding to
construct certain improvements.
Whereas, the Batesville City Council has determined that the grant sought on
behalf of Vital Link EMS meets eligibility requirements necessary tc apply for a grant
under the GIF Funded Community Enhancement Grant;
Whereas, Vital Link FMS has presented plans for an emergen y services facility
upgrade to include employee wellness center, parking lot maintenance, and inside
flooring maintenance; and
Whereas, the City Council of Batesville recognizes the need for the project,
concurs its importance, and supports Vital Link EMS in its efforts to proceed with the
same.
Therefore, be it resolved that the Mayor of the City of B tesville is hereby
authorized to submit an application of formal request to the Arkansas ural Development
Commission for the purpose of securing state grant funds in the amount of$47,713.42 to
aid and assist Vital Link EMS in executing the proposed project descri ed herein and that
the Mayor or City Clerk are further authorized to administer the grant funds for the same
project.
