A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BATESVILLE
PRESCHOOL FACILITY
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has received bids for improvements (Millwork and
Doors) to the Batesville Preschool Facility. The funding for the construction project is being
provided by a grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. All bids have been
received and a recommendation for award has been made by the city's architect; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Mayor to sign the construction contract prior to
execution of the work;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas, hereby declares that the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Wagner
General Contractors, Inc., of Searcy, Arkansas, for Sixty -One Thousand Nine Hundred and
No/100 Dollars ($61,900.00). Said contract amount not to be changed without properly
executed change orders.
