ADJOURNMENT "City of Hospitality" RESOLUTION NUMBER WHEREAS, the City of Batesville plans to construct city owned access roads and utilities in the industrial park; and WHEREAS, the United States of America has authorized the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, to make grants to public bodies and private nonprofit organizations to aid in financing the construction of specific projects; and WHEREAS, the City of Batesville is located within the White River Planning and Development District and with their assistance intends to apply for grant funds provided by U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Batesville will allow the Mayor to accept any grant monies that the Economic Development Administration awards to the City of Batesville for the construction project and be as the acting representative for the project. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of Batesville, Arkansas supports the City of Batesville construction project and encourages the application to the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration for funding assistance for the project. PASSED THIS DAY OF , 2022. Rick Elumbaugh, Mayor of Batesville Attest: City Clerk ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDINANCE FOR THE APPROVAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR PRIVATE CLUB PERMIT WHEREAS, Judith G. Shrenger, on behalf of a private club to be known as "Club Las Catrinas of Batesville," is making application to the Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control Division for a private club permit for a business to be located at 2375 Byers Street, Batesville, Arkansas 72501; and WHEREAS, under the provisions of Act 1112 of 2017 as enacted by the Arkansas General Assembly, it is necessary for the City Council for the City where the proposed private club will be located to approve the application before it is submitted to the Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control Division; and WHEREAS, all applicable laws, rules and regulations have been complied with in presenting this Ordinance to the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, that: The application of Judith G. Shrenger for a private club to be known as "Club Las Catrinas of Batesville," to be located at 2735 Byers Street, Batesville, Arkansas 72501, is approved, and the private club to be known as "Club Las Catrinas of Batesville" shall be entitled to operate its business as a private club at 2735 Byers Street, Batesville, Arkansas 72501, subject to the approval of the 1 Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division. EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It being necessary to protect and preserve the health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of Batesville, an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
