RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE
TO UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, The City of Batesville understands Federal -aid Transportation Alternatives
Program Funds are available at 80% federal participation and 20% local match to develop the
Main Street Batesville Streetscape Project. and
WHEREAS, The City of Batesville understands that Federal -aid Funds are available for this
project on a reimbursable basis, requiring work to be accomplished and proof of payment prior
to actual monetary reimbursement, and
WHEREAS, this project, using federal funding.. will be open and available for use by the general
public and maintained by the applicant for the life of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY Batesville's City Council THAT:
SECTION I: The City of Batesville will participate in accordance with its designated
responsibility, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION II: Mayor Rick Elumbaugh is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the above
stated project.
SECTION III: Batesville's City Council pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the
Arkansas Department of Transportation to initiate action to implement this project.

WHEREAS, the City of Batesville understands Federal -aid Recreational Trails Program Funds

improve Aberdeen Drive Greenway, and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville understands that Federal -aid Funds are available for this
project on a reimbursable basis, requiring work to be accomplished and proof of payment prior
to actual monetary reimbursement, and
WHEREAS, this project, using federal funding, will be open and available for use by the general
public and maintained by the applicant for the life of the project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
THAT:

ORDINANCE N0.
AN ORDINANCE FOR THE APPROVAL
OF AN APPLICATION FOR PRIVATE CLUB PERMIT
WHEREAS, Sherry C. Stott, on behalf of a private club to be
known as "Big's Easy," is making application to the Arkansas
Alcohol Beverage Control Division for a private club permit for a
business to be located at 231 E. Main, Batesville, Arkansas 72501;
and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Act 1112 of 2017 as enacted
by the Arkansas General Assembly, it is necessary for the City
Council for the City where the proposed private club will be
located to approve the application before it is submitted to the
Arkansas Alcohol Beverage Control Division; and
WHEREAS, all applicable laws, rules and regulations have been
complied with in presenting this Ordinance to the City Council of
the City of Batesville, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Batesville, Arkansas, that:
The application of Sherry C. Stott for a private club to be
known as "Big's Easy," to be located at 231 E. Main, Batesville,
Arkansas 72501, is approved, and the private club to be known as
"Big' s Easy" shall be entitled to operate its business as a private
club at 231 E. Main, Batesville, Arkansas 72501, subject to the
approval of the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.

EMERGENCY CLAUSE: It being necessary to protect and preserve
the health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of
Batesville, an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
