A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR ELUMBAUGH OF BATESVILLE" RKANSAS TO APPLY FOR
THE GIF FUNDED COMMUNITY ENHANCEMENT GRANT
WHEREAS,The City of Batesville City Council has determined that the City of Batesvill0 meets the eligibility
requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the GIF Funded Community Enhanc Ment Grant;and
WHEREAS,The City of Batesville has presented plans and specifications for the purchase and installation of
Aquatics Based Play Structures for both the indoor and outdoor aquatics facilities located in the Batesville
Community Center and Aquatics Park; and
WHEREAS,The City of Batesville City Council recognizes the need for the project, concL rs its importance,and
supports the City of Batesville in its efforts to proceed with the same.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILL ,ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1:The City of Batesville City Council authorizes Mayor Elumbaugh to submit an application of formal
request to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount
of$50,000.00(Fifty Thousand Dollars)to aid and assist the City of Batesville in executi g the proposed project
described herein.
Section 2: Mayor Rick Elumbaugh and City Clerk, Denise Johnston are hereby authorized and directed to execute
Aw all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of t!) above stated project.
