A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS TO ACCEPT THE LOW BID AND
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH G.A.G BUILDERS, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
FITZHUGH PARK COMMUNITY CENTER AND AQUATIC PARK
WHEREAS,the City of Batesville desires to accept the low bid and enter into a�ontract for the
Construction of the Fitzhugh Park Community Center and Aquatic Park;and
WHEREAS,the low bidder meeting qualifications and the firm selected for the onstruction of the
Fitzhugh Park Community Center and Aquatic Park is G.A.G. Builders, INC.; d
WHEREAS,the lowest base bid submitted was by G.A.G. Builders, INC. in the amount of
$22,030,000.00;and
WHEREAS,the City of Batesville,in conjunction with G.A.G. Builders, INC.and ETC Engineering has
reduced the contract amount by$644,348.80 through Value Engineering; and
WHEREAS,the total amount of the contract is$21,385,651.20,more or less.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. That the City of Batesville shall accept the low bid and enter into a cc ntract for the
Construction of the Fitzhugh Park Community Center and Aquatic Park with G. .G. Builders, INC.
Section 2. The total amount for the contract is for$21,385,651.20,more or less.
Section 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Batesville
to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
