HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-07-01 ORDINANCE NO. O AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission received a request to rezone certain properties at 1348 and 1350 Porter St; and WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission conducted a properly advertised public hearing on July 11, 2022 to hear opinions about the proposed zoning revision; and, WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission, at its called meeting on July 11, 2022, has determined that the proposed zoning revision is consistent with the Batesville Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and is in the best interest of the future development of the city; and, WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission has recommended that the requested amendment to the Zoning Districts map be approved by the City Council. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Batesville Zoning Districts Map is hereby amended from General Family Residential (R-2) to Commercial Community District (C-1) for the parcels identified as 110240900C and 1102411000 by the Independence County Assessors Office, the same being 1348 and 1350 Porter St, respectively. SECTION 2. If any portion or portions of this ordinance are deemed or held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portion or portions of this ordinance. IT IS SO ORDAINED.
