HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-11-02-R RESOLUTION NO. 2022-11-02-R A RESOLUTION WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING FOR SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS,The City of Batesville is in need of snow removal and anti-icing equipment for public safety and convenience during winter storms; WHEREAS,said need for the anti-icing equipment is immediate; WHEREAS,the City of Batesville received quotes from three different providers; WHEREAS,the low quote meeting the specifications was C&H Outdoor, LLC d/b/a Sno-Biz; WHEREAS,Arkansas Code Annotated§ 14-58-303(b)(2)(B) allows this governing body by resolution to waive the requirements of competitive bidding in exceptional situations where bidding is deemed not feasible or practical; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS THAT; Section 1. That the City of Batesville authorizes the acceptance of the low quote and purchase snow equipment form C&H Outdoor, LLC. A copy of the quote is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Section 2. The total amount for the purchase is for$41,880.00,more or less,and will be paid from Batesville's American Rescue Plan Funds. Section 3. That because the need is immediate,competitive bidding is deemed to not be feasible or practical,therefore competitive bidding is hereby waived per Arkansas Code Annotated § 14-58-303(b)(2)(B).
