RE: Workforce Training Center,Batesville,Arkansas
Dear Ms. Frazier,Mr. Griffin, Mr. Elumbaugh;
As you are each aware a bid letting was held for the above referenced project,
yesterday, July 22, at 2:00. Four separate sealed bids were received, e lowest bid
in the amount of$432,000.00,was received from Precision Plus Con ction, lnc.
The remaining bids were from MBCA Jones Construction,Inc. in the ount of
$634,996.00,Dayco Construction, Inc.in the amount of 659,500.00 d from G.A.G
Builders in the amount of$725,000.00. All bids received are within get.
The low bidder, Precision Plus Construction, desires to withdraw his id(see attached
letter).
Arkansas Statutory Provision 22-9-203 (4)(g)stipulates "Whenever i is obvious
from examination of the bid document that it was the intent of a bidde to submit a
responsive bid and that the bid, if accepted, would create a serious fin racial loss to
the bidder because of scrivener error, such as the transposition of fi as, the board,
commission, officer, or other authority in which or in whom authority s vested has
I

the authority to relieve the bidder from responsibility under the bond and may reject
the bid "
As the bid submitted from Precision Plus is some$202,986.00 less than the second
bid it is obvious that a mistake has been made. Pursuant to Arkansas Statutory
Provision 22-9-203,cited above, I recommend rejecting Precision P_lo: s Construction,
Ines bid and entering into contract with M&A.tones Construction, I ric.,in the
amount of$634,996.00.
If I may be of assistance to further clarify this information please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Herman Lee
Precision Plus Construction regrets to say that we made a mathematical err r in our bid

that would amount to more than$200,000.00(Two hundred thousand dollfus Only).
We would really appreciate it if you would eliminated us from the Workfo a Training
