HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-02-02 ORDINANCE NO. -0-t AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE BATESVILLE ZONING DISTRICTS MAP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission received a request to rezone part of Lot 1 and part of Lot 25 of the Timbers Subdivision; and WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission conducted a properly advertised public hearing on February 6, 2023 to hear opinions about the proposed zoning revision; and, WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission, at its regular meeting on February 6, 2023, has determined that the proposed zoning revision is consistent with the Batesville Comprehensive Plan, as amended, and is in the best interest of the future development of the city; and, WHEREAS,the Batesville Planning Commission has recommended that the requested amendment to the Zoning Districts map be approved by the City Council. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Batesville Zoning Districts Map is hereby amended from Single Family Residential (R-1) to Commercial Community District (C-1) for the parcels identified as 1104271000 and 1104292000 by the Independence County Assessors Office, the same being Part of Lot 1 and Lot 25, respectively. SECTION 2. If any portion or portions of this ordinance are deemed or held to be invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the remaining portion or portions of this ordinance. IT IS SO ORDAINED.
