ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF BATESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
POLICIES FOR THE CITY OF BATESVILLE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, from time to time it is necessary to update and modify the City's
Batesville Police Department Policies in order to keep up with changes in State and
Federal Law as well as addressing changes in best practices; and
WHEREAS, it has been several years since the Police Department has updated
its policies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the adoption of the said
policy is in the best interest of the employees of the city of Batesville and its citizens.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The updated Batesville Police Department Policies as presented to
the city council is hereby adopted.
Section 2. All previous versions of the Batesville Police Department Policies are
hereby nullified.
Section 3. That the City Clerk shall maintain a copy of said policies.
EMERGENCY CLAUSE: The Batesville Police Department Policies directly
affect the safety and welfare of the residents of Batesville, Arkansas; therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.

RESOLUTION No.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE CERTIFYING LOCAL GOVERNMENT
ENDORSEMENT OF LACROIX OPTICAL CO. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TAX BACK PROGRAM (AS
AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 15- 4-2706(d) OF THE CONSOLIDATED INCENTIVE ACT OF 2003).
WHEREAS, in order to be considered for participation in the Tax Back Program, the local
government must endorse a business to participate in the Tax Back Program; and
WHEREAS, the local government must authorize the refund of local sales and use taxes as
provided in the Consolidated Incentive Act of 2003; and
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form available from the Arkansas
Economic Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, Lacroix Optical Co. located at 50 LaCroix Dr Batesville, AR has sought to
participate in the program and more specifically has requested benefits accruing from
construction of the specific facility; and
WHEREAS, Lacroix Optical Co. has agreed to furnish the local government all necessary
information for compliance.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. Lacroix Optical Co. be endorsed by the City Council of Batesville for benefits from the
sales & use tax refunds as provided by Section 15-4-2706(d) of the Consolidated
Incentive Act of 2003.
2. The Department of Finance and Administration is authorized to refund local sales
and use taxes to Lacroix Optical Co.
3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
