HomeMy WebLinkAbout2025-07-03-R RESOLUTION NO 2025-07-03-R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO UPDATE THE BATESVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP,AND OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Batesville Planning Commission, during the course of a major periodic evaluation and update of the Comprehensive Plan map, conducted a public hearing on June 2, 2025 to consider desirable revisions to said Plan map; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at a regular meeting on June 2, 2025, adopted a number of revisions to the Plan to acknowledge many changes in land use to the City since the original plan was adopted in 2009 and to acknowledge recent action by the Arkansas General Assembly to eliminate the territorial jurisdiction of Arkansas cities; and, WHEREAS, the recommended revisions would both satisfy the legal requirements of Act 313 of 2025, and would enhance the future development of the City of Batesville, the Planning Commission has adopted said Plan map update and recommended to the Batesville City Council that it adopt said revisions to the Plan map; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS THAT: The updated Batesville Comprehensive Plan map as prepared and recommended by the Planning Commission be, and hereby is adopted. ADOPTED THIS 22°d DAY OF July , 2025.
