WHEREAS,the City of Batesville,Arkansas received bids on December 10,2009,
for Contract Section I—Gravity Sewers, Tunnel, and Lift Station; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive, responsible bid was in the amount of
$5,606,000.00, submitted by Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc. of Roanoke, Texas; and
WHEREAS,the City of Batesville has applied for and received approval for a loan
from Arkansas Natural Resources Commission to fund the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville, Arkansas desires to award the construction
contract for this work to Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Batesville, Arkansas that the bid of$5,606,000.00 submitted by Oscar Renda Contracting,
Inc. is accepted, contingent on approval by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission;
and the Mayor and City Clerk/Treasurer are authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc. for the construction of these facilities.
