A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF BATESVILLE TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO SELL PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS TO WHITE RIVER HEALTH SYSTEM, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has decided to abandon property owned by the City,
that was previously used as the cemetery/landscaping shop; and
WHEREAS,the City has decided that it no longer has a use for the above mentioned
property which is commonly referred to as the cemetery property; and
WHEREAS, the City has advertised for bids on the cemetery property as provided by
law; and whereas the City received one bid on this property; and
WHEREAS, that said bid was from White River Health System, Inc. in the amount of
One Hundred and Sixty Five Thousand Dollars, ($165,000.00); and
WHEREAS,the City wishes to accept the bid from White River Health Systems, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to sign any and
all necessary documents to affect the transfer of the above mentioned property to White River
Health Systems, Inc., and to make any and all necessary agreements to affect said transfer.
PASSED AND APPROVED on this 13`" day of April, 2010.
