A RESOLUTION DIRECTING REVENUES RECEIVED FROM THE CITY'S
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE TAX TO BE USED FOR PUBLIC SAFETY
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville, Arkansas has passed an ordinance levying a
supplemental tax on the preparation and serving of mixed drinks and for the cooling and
serving of beer, light wine, and wine, by premises legally serving alcoholic beverages in
the City of Batesville, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make known its intent to direct this new
revenue source to an appropriate use of such funds.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas that:
1. All revenues received by the City of Batesville from the
supplemental tax on alcoholic beverages shall be used for public
safety purposes and accounted as a separate line item in the City
Budget.
