A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE ARKANSAS ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville is applying to the State of Arkansas for
an Arkansas Community and Economic Development grant for an economic
development project to benefit Peco Foods, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the
application requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has conducted the required public
hearings as part of the application process to receive and consider comments
on community development and housing needs, and proposed activities; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the first public hearing, the City of Batesville
has identified and prioritized the community development and housing needs;
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Mayor of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas is authorized to submit an application to the State of Arkansas on
behalf of Peco Foods to expend funds for the economic development project, if
the grant is awarded.
