A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH RELATIONS WITH
PUTIAN CITY, CHINA, TO ENHANCE COMMON GOALS.
WHEREAS, The City of Batesville, Arkansas, received a letter from Mayor
Yi Zhan on June 6, 2005, expressing the desire to further friendship and
understanding between our cities of Putian City and Batesville; and
WHEREAS, as is Putian City, Batesville is rich in history and culture; and
WHEREAS, it is our desire to establish sister city relations with Putian City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas:
In official form, may we start the process of this endeavor.
