A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, INDEPENDENCE COUNTY
TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID MONIES
FOR THE FOLLOWING CITY PROJECT:
Rehabilitation of Traj Ic Signals
Highway 167 2 College Ave and HiRhwgE 167 2 Lawrence Street and
HHi,hway 167 Q Myers Ave./Southerland Drive
WHERE AS,The City of Batesville understands Federal-Aid Surface Transportation
funds are available for certain City projects at the following Federal participating ratios:

NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY'S GOVERNING BOARD
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION I: The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility
in this project,which includes providing electrical service and maintenance of the traffic signal
and associated control equipment.
SECTION II: The City is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate
agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
SECTION III: The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas
State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this City project.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 8t' day of January, 2008.
