Be it resolved by the City Council of Batesville, State of Arkansas a resolution entitled:
Application for funds for childcare facility on UACCB Campus gv►
A Resolution authorizing the Mayor of Batesville, to apply for a grant ;R1 behalf of University of- Arkansas
Community College at Batesville.
Whereas, the Batesville City Council has determined that the University of Arkansas Community College in
Batesville (UACCB) meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the GIF Funded Community
Enhancement Grant; and
Wlkereas, UACCB has presented plans to construct a childcare facility on campus; and
Whereas, the City Council of Batesville recognizes the need for the project, concurs in its importance, and
supports UACCB in its efforts to proceed with the same; and
Therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor of Batesville is hereby authorized to submit an application of formal
L-equest to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount
of $ 30,000 to aid and assist UACCB in executing the proposed project described herein and that the Mayor or
City Clerk of Batesville is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the some project.
