BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville, State of Arkansas a resolution
entitled: Construction of Fire Station.
A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to apply for a grant on behalf of the City.
WHEREAS,the Batesville City Council is a local unit of general purpose government
that will provide opportunity for input by the residents in determining and prioritizing
community development needs; and
WHEREAS, the Batesville City Council recognizes the need for the project, concurs in
its importance, and supports the City of Batesville in its effort to proceed with the same;
and
WHEREAS,the Batesville City Council has provided proof of ownership of the property
to be enhanced by the property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of Batesville, Arkansas is
hereby authorized to submit an application of formal request to the Arkansas Rural
Development Commission for purposes of securing state grant funds in the amount of
approximately$30,000.00 to aid and assist the Batesville Community in executing the
proposed project described herein and that the Mayor or City Clerk of Batesville,
Arkansas is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the same project.
