A RESOLUTION REVOKING RESOLUTION 2003-12-1-R; REVOKING REQUEST FOR THE
CONDUCT OF PRIMARY ELECTIONS BY RECOGNIZED POLITICAL PARTIES FOR MUNICIPAL
OFFICES IN THE CITY OF BATESVILLE
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Batesville previously adopted Resolution
2003-12-1-R, providing for the partisan election of aldermen and other elected officials of the
City of Batesville; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated Section 14-42-206 requires that this resolution
shall have continuing effect until its repeal by the Batesville City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville wishes to provide for the non-partisan election of
Aldermen and other city officials.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BATESVILLE, TO-WIT:
Section 1. The Batesville City Council revokes, repeals and rescinds Resolution
2003-12-1-R.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of December, 2009.
