RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FIL]1G OF APPLICATION WITH THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION, U.S. DEPA1zn= OF
COMMERCE, FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE WATER
TREATMENT FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Administration, U.S.
Department of Commerce, is authorized to make grants to public
bodies and private nonprofit organizations or associations to
aid in financing the construction of specific projects; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has met the eligibility criteria
to apply for a grant from the Economic Development
Administration, U.S. Department of C.cumverce.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas,
that Jim Shirrell, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute and
file an application on behalf of the City of Batesville with the
Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of
Commerce, for a grant to aid in financing the construction of
the water treatment facility expansion project; and
that Jim Shirrell, Mayor, is hereby authorized and directed to
furnish such information as the Economic Development
Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, may reasonably
request in connection with the application which is herein
authorized to be filed, and further is authorized to accept any
offer of grant which may be tendered by the Economic Development
Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce.
