RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
CERTIFYING LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF CONAGRA TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE AR1,�ANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has an approved Enterprise Zone
designation for Enumeration District 1144 within the corporate
limits of the City of Batesville; and
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or
enterprise to participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
Program and benefit from the refunds/exemptions as provided in
the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1989; and
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form
available from AIDC; and
WHEREAS, ConAgra located on St. Louis Street has sought to
participate in the program and has been determined by the
management of the enterprise zone program to be eligible for the
benefits thereof, and more specifically has requested benefits
accruing from their expansion of the specific facility; and
WHEREAS, ConAgra has agreed to furnish the management of the
enterprise zone all necessary information for compliance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. ConAgra be endorsed by the City of Batesville for
benefit from the refunds/exertions as provided in the
Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1989,
by Act 462 of 1989, through June 30, 1995.
2. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
