HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-10-02-R RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE BATESVILLE CITY COUNCIL Whereas it has become apparent that opportunities for communication among the major departments of the City of Batesville and the Batesville City Council are needed; and , Whereas there is a need for this communication to take place in an open forum accessible to the public , the press and members of other departments; and, Whereas the opportunity to review the activity reports of the departments in written form and to meet with the department managers for clarification and discussion for more effective management of city business is desirable; therefore, Be it resolved that when it becomes desirous for departments of the City of Batesville to enter into agreements with adjunct personnel including engineers, consultants and attorneys, that an itemized report be presented to the Batesville City Council documenting the services to be performed including time and cost; and, Be it further resolved the Manager of the Water and Sewer Department will meet with the Batesville City Council on the fourth Tuesday of each month and the manager of the Parks and Recreation Department or his designee and Chairman of the Air Port Commission or his designee will meet with the Batesville City Council the second Tuesday of each month, that the other City Commission chairmen are excused from attendance in that they have councilmen as ex-officio members; and, Be it further resolved that a written activity report to the Mayor and each member of the city council be presented five working days before the department manager is to appear before the Batesville City Council; and, Be it further resolved that this resolution be spread on our minutes and that a copy properly attested to be presented to the appropriate departments . Adopted this Twenty Second day of October in the year of our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Ninety One.
