RESOLUTION NO.

A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE ARKANSAS STATE HIGHWAY AND
TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT AUTHORITY TO USE
FEDERAL-AID MONIES FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MASTER STREET PLAN RECOMMENDED
IMPROVEMENT "A4" , INTERSECTION OF ST. LOUIS BOULEVARD
AND CHANEY DRIVE_
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville understands additional.
Federal-Aid funds are available for improvements to city
streets; and
WHEREAS„ the City understands that their- matching
portion of this project will be 20% of the total cost of
preliminary engineering , ,_appraisal and acquisition of r'.:ight--
of"'-Way„ relocation =services and adjustment of man-made
improvements ( .a.nc1c..da.ng utilities) , construction a n d
construction engineering ; �
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE ARKANSAS, THAT:
I
SECTION T : The Mayor of the City of Batesville is
hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate
agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the
construction of the improvements.
SECTION IT : The City of Batesville pledges its full
support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
• Transportation at.ion Depa.r-t.ment to initiate action to construct
this ;:project.
