RESOLUTION NO. (/ 1
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE JOINT CITY - COUNTY RECYCLING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville recognizes the environmental values in
recycling, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to promote recycling of non-combustibles
that would otherwise go through the incinerator and occupy valuable landfill
space, and
WHEREAS, these interests can best be achieved by close cooperation between
the City and the County;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Batesville that it endorses and supports the joint City and County effort to
achieve recycling on a 50-50 basis with the county being the collecting and
paying agent . The county will render regular finiancial reports to the city.
The city will expect to be billed for 50% of any expenses and to receive 50%
of any future net profits.
