BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS
TO SEND A DRAFT COPY OF THE PROPOSED LOCAL COOPERATION
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPS AND THE CITY OF BATESVILLE
TO THE WASHINGTON OFFICE OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS
FOR APPROVAL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville desires to participate with the Corps
of Engineers in the construction of a levee and associated structures for the
purpose of flood control along the White River; and
WHEREAS, THE City of Batesville has preliminarily approved a draft copy
of a Local Cooperation Agreement between the City and the Corps of Engineers
for the construction of said levee; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville has asked that the proposed agreement
be forwarded to the Washington Office of the Corps of Engineers for its approval;
now
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas that the City preliminarily approves the draft copy of the Local Cooperation
Agreement between the City and the Corps of Engineers and requests that the
agreement be forwarded to the Washington Office of the Corps pf Engineers
for approval at that level.
