BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
A RESOLUTION COMMEMORATING THE SERVICE
OF ERNEST LYNN WILLIAMS
WHEREAS, the City Council of Batesville , Arkansas
unanimously voted to adopt a suitable resolution commemorating
the tireless service of Councilman Ernest Lynn Williams on the
date of his death, August 10, 1993, and;
WHEREAS, Councilman Williams served for over 22 years on the
Batesville City Council as a dignified, faithful, impartial and
businesslike member; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville and the Batesville City
Council wishes to express a deep sense of loss and sincerest
sympathy to Lucy Williams, their children and grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, the City of Batesville and the Batesville City
Council are grateful to Ernest Lynn Williams for his time and
efforts which were furnished generously and unselfishly during
his tenure as councilman; now
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of Batesville,
Arkansas extends to the family of Ernest Lynn Williams its humble
expression of esteem for his serving the City of Batesville
faithfully and well for over two (2 ) decades, expressing its
sympathy to his family, and memorializing his valued service to
the City of Batesville. The Batesville City Clerk is directed to
spread this resolution across the records of the City of
• Batesville.
