AN AMENDMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 85-8-2,
A RE-USE PLAN FOR THE ARKANSAS
COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM SET-ASIDE GRANT.
WHEREAS, the original Re-Use Plan was based upon a
repayment schedule from Omega Container, Inc., and
WHEREAS, the industry ceased to exist and there are no
further payments forthcoming, and
WHEREAS, the repaid funds are not sufficient to maintain a
revolving loan program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Batesville City
Council hereby amends the Reuse Plan to utilize the repaid funds to
undertake other eligible Community Development Block Grant
activities that provide benefit to at least 51 percent low and moderate
income person. Such activities may include but not be limited to
water/sewer improvements, street/sidewalk improvements or drainage.
