=�L 9, / 0 <br /> A RESOLUTION CLARIFYING <br /> UNWRITTEN POLICY REGARDING <br /> OAKLAWN CEMETERY AND THE <br /> GRAY'S ADDITION TO SAID CEMETERY <br /> WHEREAS, in the past it has been the unwritten policy not to have funerals on <br /> Sunday or Holidays at Oaklawn Cemetery and The Gray's addition to said <br /> cemetery; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City and the public to have the wishes <br /> of the City Council in written form. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BATESVILLE CITY <br /> COUNCIL: <br /> 1. Funerals should not be held in Oaklawn Cemetery or the Gray's addition to <br /> Oaklawn on Sundays or City Holidays except in extreme situations to be <br /> determined by the Mayor. If exceptions are made and employees are available, <br /> charges should be as follows: <br /> $400.00 to cover the cost of labor and machinery with the Mayor to <br /> determine rates of cost as to labor vs. machinery. <br /> 2. For funerals on Saturday, the cost should be the overtime applicable rate for <br /> labor with no cost for machinery. <br /> 3. Opening and closing costs would remain at present levels Monday through <br /> Saturday. <br /> 4. Funeral homes should be liable for said costs. <br /> 5.
