SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 24, 2013
The Batesville City Council met in special session on March 24, at 4:30 PM at the
Municipal Building. Mayor Elumbaugh called the meeting to order. Upon roll call, the
following council answered present; Tommy Bryant, Margarett Henley, Paige Hubbard,
Davy Insell, Fred Krug, and Chris Poole. Also present were the City Clerk Denise
Johnston and the City Attorney Lindsey Castleberry. Councilmember's Matthews and
Shetron were absent.
NEW BUSINESS
A) CONSIDER A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR NEW
DUMP TRUCKS
Councilmember Insell introduced a resolution to authorize the execution of an
equipment lease-purchase agreement between the City of Batesville and
BancorpSouth Bank for the purpose of leasing three 2013 dump trucks.
Councilmember Henley moved to suspend the rules and read the resolution by
title only. Councilmember Insell seconded and the roll call count was 6 for and 0
against. Mr. Castleberry read the resolution by title only. The Mayor said two of
the dump trucks will be in the Utility Construction Department and one in the City
Street Department. The purchase is to replace existing leases and is budgeted
for. Councilmember Bryant moved to adopt the resolution and Councilmember
Henley seconded. The roll call count was 6 for and 0 against. The resolution
was given #2013-04-01-R.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Councilmember Bryant moved that the meeting
be adjourned. Councilmember Henley seconded and all voted for.
