AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT OF
10 MPH ON A PORTION OF MAIN STREET, PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Batesville, Arkansas:
1. No person shall drive a vehicle upon Main Street, between Fifth Street and
Central Avenue, in the City of Batesville, Arkansas, at a speed greater than ten(10)miles
per hour.
2. The Chief of Police or his delegate shall place signs upon the designated
portion of said Main Street in appropriate places advising the public of this speed limit.
3. Any person violating this ordinance shall be guilty of a violation and fined
in a sum not greater than $150.00.
