RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR OF BATESVILLE
TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
TO THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT
OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR
A CHILD CARE CENTER PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Batesville is applying to the State of Arkansas for an Arkansas Community
and Economic Development grant to construct a child care center to be operated by the Batesville
School District; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the application
requirements; and
WHEREAS, Batesville has conducted the required public hearing as part of the
• application process to receive and consider comments on community development and housing
needs, and proposed activities; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the first public hearing, Batesville has identified and prioritized
the community development and housing needs;
THEREFORE, be it resolved that Mayor Joe M. Biard is authorized to submit an
application to the State of Arkansas on behalf of Batesville to expend funds for the construction
of the child care center, if the grant is awarded.
