MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> AUGUST 26, 2008 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on August 26, at 5:30 <br /> PM at the Municipal Building. Mayor Rick Elumbaugh presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Insell gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> councilmembers answered present: Davy Insell, Fred Krug, Doug Matthews, <br /> Matt McDonald, Trula Pectol, David Shetron, and Paula Terrell. Also present <br /> were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember R.L. Carpenter was <br /> absent. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Insell seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to approve the prepared agenda. <br /> Councilmember Terrell seconded and all voted for. <br /> CITIZENS COMMENTS <br /> None <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> SECOND READING OF AN ORDINANCE TO SET PARK HOURS <br /> City Attorney Stalker read the ordinance in full for the second reading. <br /> The council said they had received input from the public on the ordinance. <br /> Councilmember Shetron moved to suspend the rules and waive the third reading. <br /> Councilmember Pectol seconded and the roll call count was 7 for and 0 against. <br /> Councilmember Matthews moved to adopt the ordinance. Councilmember <br /> Shetron seconded and the roll call count was 6 for and 1 (Terrell) against. The <br /> ordinance was given #2008-8-1. Mr. Stalker read the emergency clause and <br />
