MINUTES OF COUNCIL <br /> JULY 26, 2005 <br /> The Batesville City Council met in regular session on July 26, at 5:30 PM <br /> at the Municipal Building. Mayor Joe Biard presided over the meeting. <br /> Councilmember Pectol gave the invocation. Upon roll call the following <br /> Councilmembers answered present: R.L. Carpenter, John Cooke, Fred Krug, <br /> Doug Matthews, Jerry Pectol, Stephen Smart and Paula Terrell. Also present <br /> were the City Clerk and the City Attorney. Councilmember Dana Mynatt was <br /> absent. <br /> Councilmember Pectol moved to approve the minutes from the previous <br /> meeting and Councilmember Smart seconded. All voted for. <br /> Councilmember Terrell moved to approve the prepared agenda as <br /> amended. Councilmember Pectol seconded and all voted for. <br /> DISCUSSION OF CHANGES MADE IN PROPOSED SIGN ORDINANCE <br /> Planning Commission member Mickey Powell addressed the council with <br /> some additional changes to the proposed sign ordinance. The council agreed <br /> with the recommendations and asked the clerk to make the changes and present <br /> the ordinance at the next meeting for consideration. <br /> COURT DATE FOR CHADWICK AND DILLON STREET CITATIONS <br /> The council were given packets from Mr. Bob Stroud, attorney for Mr. <br /> Charles Goff, stating their position on the Chadwick citations and a copy of the <br /> motion to dismiss that they will file with the District Judge on their court date of <br /> August 3rd. Councilmember Terrell moved to make no further decision or <br /> discussion of the case until we have retained legal council to advise us. <br />
